What kind of team?
I guess it really doesn't matter what kind of team..... I suppose you can go with something like a familiar phrase "Eh?" Your team can be the "Ehs?" Your "logo" or mascot could be a Question Mark.
I have an image of a Mountie in my mind as well. Maybe the 'Mounties?" However, there is a suggestive reference there, not intentional, though.

For my money, it doesn't get much better than the Vancouver Canucks. Brings a smile to my face everytime I hear it.
