☼ yes, I think I see what you mean; the animals do it based on 100% instinct; it does not mean that animals do not fail sometimes; as for humans, we lost a great bulk of instincts and some percentage of that in sex; this is tax for being sapience; so what animals can do instinctively (swim, build a nest, eat a proper food etc), humans should be taught;
besides, many of our instincts are being constantly suppressed by social life (morals, rules, laws); it cannot be otherwise though;
the kids in rural places are learning about sex little by little and do not need a special teaching; they see teaching aids in their every day life; as for the kids in urban places they do not see many animals, so urban society is to do some teaching to indoctrinate them healthy instincts; not always successfully though, balancing between science an pornography;

they learn it the way it SHOULD be taught-----by their PARENTS!!! If parents did their jobs, we wouldn't HAVE to learn about sex from books , friends or teachers...Animals do most of the things they do by INSTINCT and more then likely by WATCHING other animals of their species....

We really don't learn about sex from all those places. It is natural instinct for us as well as animals. Think back when you learned about sex, something inside of you already knew. It was more of a confirmation.

How to perform the sex act is "hard-wired" into the brains of animals. In other words, they know it by instinct. You can thank evolution and natural selection for this.
