I love driving! I used to always have to be the one driving, but as I get older, I seem to enjoy riding just as much.

Depends:

In UK - no, it's too busy and most people seem to be half asleep. But what's the alternative. Took a trainm from Kings Lynn to Crawley last week - it was horrible and expensive.

Germany (where I live) - yes, the autobahn are excellent and other roads are generally well surfaced and safe.

France (where I also live - it's complicated) - mostly, but the cities are often terrifying. The police are a bit hot on speeding over the past few years but rural roads are still excellent fun. And where I live there is no alternative.

USA - yes, for the ease and the space; no, for the ridiculous speed limits. Yes for the big cars; no for the appallling skills of other road users.

Good question.

No, I came to hate driving because I am the only licensed driver in the household, with a kid and I wound up with mononucleosis "mono" and I got so run down that I became impatient with driving and I was so tired that I couldn't stand it, and so I just hated it. Now I am starting to like it again though, it has been several months since the mono and me hating to drive, so it's getting better.

Yes, I recently took a road trip - 5 hour drive and it was very relaxing. I normally have to be the passenger and deal with kids for all the road trips, but this time I got to drive and let someone else take care of kids, it was nice.
