I want to help a friend fake her own suicide in order to avoid an abuser. I was thinking of having two guys dressed as cops go and tell him that she was found dead so he'll leave her alone, but alas, impersonating a police officer is illegal. It would be cool if we could pay a couple of cops to do that. What do you think?

You just need to turn the "abuser" in and get a restraining order. Why all the drama with faking a suicide?

I think that there are plenty of organizations that can help your friend, like the real police. File charges against the abuser for crying out loud. Get to a shelter for abused women. File for a restraining order. Do it the LEGAL way.
What you are talking about is illegal no matter how you look at it. And by the way, bribery is frowned upon just as much as impersonating a police officer. So is faking your own death for that matter.
Seek the legal means to take control of the situation and stop thinking that the real world in any way resembles tv or the movies.

Why would even ask such a question? If you and the abused feels that the situation is so severe that you would want to fake a sucide than you really need to take legal action and do whatever you have to do to get rid of this person.

Yes faking your own suicide/death is illegal and if your fake death results in an insurance pay out or other monetary benefits for your heirs, then you could put them in legal jeopardy for filing a fraudulent claim as well

Have her contact a woman's shelter. No need to reinvent the wheel here. They know how to help her "hide." ---Your questions are really troubling. You really seem to love drama and it might be a good thing for you to just "be still" for a while and let things around you settle down a bit.
PS No decent police officer would EVER do what you are suggesting.

Or just get a court order against the guy, and real cops will really arrest him if he breaks it. If she's in real danger, it's best not to play games, get the police involved and get this guy taken care of.

A restraining order is easier to get or hire a street gang they provide protection for a price.
Real suicide can't be faked you have to do it for real.
