Since it's brand new, wouldn't your Ford dealer be the best one to ask? In this competitive age, the company definitely does NOT want you to experience trouble. So take your complaint to the service department. And by the way...I don't know what "it wouldn't go" means. Did the engine stall? Starter operated but engine would not start? But when you turned ignition off, then tried to start, it started immediately? Sounds like some kind of safety device failure.
Once again....TALK TO THE DEALER'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT.

I have seen this many times before and the problems has always been that the battery is not full charged up and let me explain.

Vehicle sit on the dealers lots and some do not get started on a regular basis and when they go to start them they don't, so they use what is called a "HOT SHOT" to get then running.

You will see these machines at all dealerships they are usually red in color.

I would call the dealer back and have them do a complete electrical system check and they owe it to you, they will likely find that the battery is low in charge and just recharge it for you.

You should ask for a new battery but I would say that they will not give you one but remember that when a battery has been slowly discharged then it must be slowly recharged and this can take 24 to 72 hours.

The hot shot will get your car running and most likely the car or may not have any problems at this time but it is not fully charged up and it will never be fully charged up until a slow charge is done.

This happens when the vehicle is driven off the lost after the make ready and the customer drives down the road with the a/c and radio on, the battery just cant take it.
