Try moving him to a smaller "hospital" tank. Put some Epsom salt (about 1 teaspoon per gallon) in it and check for other signs, such as bloating, fins clamped to sides, etc. If your angels sail fin and bottom sail are clamped and not open then chances are there is a protazon parasite. Use parasite Clear or Quick Cure. Treat with directions on medicine and allow fish time to heal. If the fish dies at least it will not pollute the other tank and the rest of the fish, and the peace and quiet of the hospital tank might help the fish heal.

You don't mention the temperature of your tank, tank size, or water chemistry, and I think one or more of these may be the cause of his problem.

Angels are tropical and goldfish prefer cooler water, so someone's not going to be happy - do you have a heater in the tank? Angels will do better if the water temperature is above 76o.

Goldfish produce a lot of ammonia, which is toxic to fish. Unless your tank is fully cycled (has a bacterial population to convert ammonia and nitrite [which is also toxic] into nitrate), the angel may be more sensitive to the ammonia or nitrite than the other fish. Do you have a kit to test your water? If not, take a sample to you fish/pet store - they'll usually test the water for you. A water change (25%) may help him.

The smaller the tank size, the more rapidly these compounds will build up in the water. And if they're young, the problem will only get worse as they grow. Angels should be in a 30 gallon tank, minimum. Four common (single tailed variety) goldfish have the capability of growing to over a foot each and the moors 8-10". The goldfish alone will need a 50-55 gallon tank.

I hate how people torture their fish.

How do you have an angelfish with goldfish?!

Goldfish would normally grow to 8-12 inches, but they will die do to lack of space... Their bodies will stop growing but their organs will not...

And you are killing you angelfish by keeping it with goldfish; the ammonia the goldfish should've killed the angelfish a long time ago...

Do you have a heater? If you don't that's why it is lethargic. If you do, you are torturing the goldfish...

Next time, check with the pet store before you buy fish...

I had a couple of angelfish that were very lathargic, but they had also lost their appetites, and had white stringy feces. If yours has these symptoms get an internal parasite med ASAP!!!. I hope yours makes out better than mine did!!!

Is it injured? If so..how? Maybe it hit something in the tank?
maybe another fish beat it up?
maybe it is old; and time for it to go?
idk..

call the vet?
