Well he's a running back...so he's got a shot at rookie of the year...but he's not going to be a primary back, which will work heavily against him for ROTY. It's far to early to tell about pro bowls considering he's not even the starter on the Vikings and they haven't really had a dangerous rushing attack in recent years...even with Steve Hutchinson coming in they failed to make the run game dominant. If Peterson can stay healthy, which I don't see being a problem right now, but who knows, he should be a good back in this league. And the same goes for Micheal Bush who fell to the 4th round to Oakland. If he stays healthy, he was a 1st round talent before that injury, it will be interesting to see what those two can do though...that was a risky but nice grab for the Vikings...

He's a guy who can get you 1200 yards easily if he stays healthy. And Minnesota has a 1200 yard rusher returning (Chester Taylor) so there's no serious pressure on him coming in. He should have an impact this year because Minnesota has no big play threats on offense. They did nothing to address the big play issue from the WR position, drafting Sidney Rice in round 2, who seems to me like a bad combination of Randy Moss, Troy Williamson, and Koren Robinson - a guy with talent, who underacheives and is eventually a waste of time. Peterson on the other hand is a sure thing if he's healthy.

Considering, at best, he will share time with Chester Taylor I see no ROY or Pro Bowls for him. There should be concern on him staying healthy, especially on that hard turf in the Metro Dome. If he can stay healthy he'll contribute, how much remains to be seen. With Jackson as the QB, the run game will get the Ds first attention so the run game may be slight until, and if, Tavarus ever gets the passing game untracked.

If he manages to stay healthy, he could be very good, maybe future Pro Bowler. But that's a big if. They hit a heck of a lot harder in the NFL than in the Big 12.

He is tremendously talented. The question is, can he stay healthy. If he is used in a platoon role, much like Addai (Colts) last year, I think he will be able to stay healthy and contribute to his team right off the bat. He was a pleasure to watch in college, and I think he is the real deal. Pro Bowls are in his future.

Easy there turbo, lets let him make it through a season or two before we put him in the HOF.
If he stays healthy he should become a great RB and help the Vikings a lot!

purely a moron would trust him. it really is an astounding tweet about it, " Adrian Peterson reported the NFL is like cutting-side-day slavery? Slaves were given hit with whips & locked in chains. He purely buys whips & a large number of chains"

Everybody question his durability. He sprained his right ankle and broke a collarbone. It isn't that he pulled a groin 20,000 times. I think he will be the best rookie back this year maybe even the best back this year. Minnesota should be very happy. I'm a browns fan and I wish we drafted him.

Don't look for much this year with his injuries that are still healing. with their line, I don't expect him to have much of a career for a while.
