My Mother and Sisters are always nagging me to wear shorts in the hot weather.
I'm not a shorts person so I wear long jeans & pants all summer long.
My Mom & Sisters like wear shorts everyday all summer long
their legs always look smooth & tan. Today it was Hot, My Mom & Sisters were all wearing Shorts
and my Aunt came over to visit and she was also wearing Shorts. she asked me why i'm not wearing shorts and
i gotta to be hot in my jeans. After my Aunt left, My mom asked me if I have to shave me legs yet or need to shave
them, I pulled down my jeans and she said it's time & i'll show you how to shave them. she gave me
a new razor and She put shaving cream on my one leg and started shaving my one leg and she told me to shave
my other leg. she then put mosturize cream on them and made me rub the cream on my legs
she made my legs look as smooth as hers. She then picked up my jeans and said ewh! these are all sweaty and walked away with my jeans
I went back to my bedroom to put another a pair of jeans
then my Mom came in, she was holding 5 hangers with new pairs of shorts on them.
she yelled at me. and said I had enough of this non sense, It's too hot to be wearing pants
and I want you to start wearing shorts. your young and got great looking legs. plus their is way
too much comfort and you'll feel like 10 degrees cooler wearing shorts in in the heat. she then handed
me the pairs of shorts and said to put on a pair. Do you believe her ? what should I do ?

Ok...first things first, I think your family is rude to try and force you to wear shorts. If you don't like them or don't want to, that is your business. My mother rarely wears shorts unless she is doing house work or yardwork on the weekends. she is more apt to wear pants or skirts, even when it is 100 degrees outside. It is ultimately a personal choice.
It is also extremely disrespectful for them to demand that you shave. I think your family is extremely weird.
You never really say why you don't like shorts...except that you are "not a shorts person".
Are you a skirt person? I used to have a friend who hated shorts as well, and she wore skirts. Which i usually do in the summer as well, because I am not really allowed to wear shorts to work.
At the end of the day, only you can determine what you want to wear, and if you like jeans, or pants, that's life and your family will have to deal with it.

tell mom to chill and you are old enough to dress yourself .... if your legs are not shown to the world it's not the end of the world... as for being hot and sweaty - well i'd be 'lying' if I did't wonder why you're putting yourself through the discomfort. As mentioned above there are nice long skirts and other pants to wear besides jeans which would be much cooler not show your legs and be more comfortable.

I say, give it a try. There's nothing wrong with trying new things, and shorts are very, very nice in the summer.
If you don't like to wear shorts and are uncomfortable showing off your legs, you could try some long skirts or sarongs. They look lovely and are much cooler than denim.
If you feel fine in jeans (it sounds like you're extremely hot in them although) just tell her that you prefer it, and you don't like shorts as much. But you may find that shorts are wonderful too.
There is nothing wrong with experimenting your wardrobe! :D

I agree with her I am 11 and I agree I mean you are probably a skinny girl who would look great in shorts so I mean I think you should show off you're legs you could dehydrate wearing jeans in the hot weather you could get sick I mean you need to wear shorts it is important!!! I am in 5th grade

Did we need the step by step of your shaving lesson to give you an answer? Quite honestly, that's kinda weird. The whole story is kinda weird. Your mom forcing you to wear shorts is weird. I rarely wear them these days...I can no longer tan due to melanoma and my legs are too pale so I wear capris instead. Out of curiosity - what is your aversion to shorts?

Although I would pick shorts any day over long pants, you should wear whatever makes you comfortable, and I think your mom is wrong to try to push you into wearing shorts if you don't want to. If you get hot, it's your issue, not hers.

You should wear what makes you happy, not what makes your mom and sisters and aunts and uncles and boyfriends and grandmas and grandpas and the deacons at church and the lady next door and the taxi driver and the real estate agent and the check out girl happy! I'm guessing your young if your mom needed to tell you and show you about shaving your legs. So you must feel self conscience. There are other things you can wear,capris,long gauze skirts. Tell mom how you feel.

Wear shorts. I would be getting sick of getting told to wear them enough that I would already be wearing them just to have them shut up!
