yesterday i could hear everthing
today i cant hear nothing my laptop has speakers inside it
but i hear nothing
its a dell latitude
ive never had this problem before
this sucks yo
help please

go to the dell website and d/l your sound driver.. and reinstall.. that might solve your problem. good luck.

Obbviously one of three things has happened.
1) the driver has become corrupt.
2) the sound card has become inoperable.
3) the speakers are inoperable.
so, here are the fixes.
Start with #3
3) You can test the speakers by plugging in a headphone. If it is the speakers, the headphone will work. If it is the card, then the headphone will NOT work.
1) driver: download the latest drive and install, see if this fixes things.
2) if the sound card has broken, you will need a new one installed.

Check your speaker icon on your menu bar and click to see if something was turned down or off. You can also go to Control Panel and check your sound from there.
Try a system restore to an earlier date than yesterday, and see if this will help.

just check whether the sound system is mute by going through the control panel - sound and audio, or increase the volume button on the side panal of the laptop, if that doesnt solve go to cmos setup , find the sound menu, disable and enable the sound system and restart, check wheather any external speakers work with it or not?

You need to reinstall the sound drivers or maybe you have it on mute and don't know it.
