Hi, I think the longer you hold a grudge for, the heavier it will get. The grudge will then fester into rancour and bitterness, resentment and revenge. Negative emotions cause the person holding the grudge a lot of damage on spiritual and emotional even physical levels. Holding a grudge might hold a person back, preventing them from moving on. Hate begets hate. Getting ahead with our lives is more important than getting even. Releasing the grudge through forgiveness is so much more healthy and will release all that negative energy that’s festering inside. For everyone holding a grudge, try throwing it away and lighten your load. Polly

I used to think I was too lazy to hold a grudge and let things go, but then I couldn't take it anymore and started holding them. Depending on what someone does, I can hold grudges for quite a while.

Generally, women hold a grudge until they get even and men call each other names and are over it.

I try not to hold grudges at all- my Mom is good at holding grudges and I don't want to follow in her footsteps when it comes to that.

I haven't talked to a grandmother of mine in over 11 years. That's too long. Don't be like me.
