And leave it as it is, as we have both not mentioned it, or do the 'Respectable' thing?

Yes i know where you are coming from.
After 13 years the relationship does get boring , i have been with my
partner 14 years i am a man i love her, But i know i annoy
her with the things that i do ,which in earlier years didn't matter
in the slightest,She irritates me.
Like you i have not discussed our problem.
think back to the time when you first met.
Tomorrow i will chat her up again.
thankx for your question

Well if it ain't broke! But, as sounds likely, it is broke then you have to decide. If everything is fine I don't see the point of the question. You must be thinking something is wrong in the relationship, surely. Anyway, if you love him stay and work through the problems, just don't jump too early.

I think 'If it's not broke, don't fix it' applies to cars, computers and technical things. If your relationship is not great, but you are thinking of carrying on regardless, perhaps you should both be honest about it and give working on it (or breaking up, if it is inevitable) and not settle for second best.
If it is marriage you are referring to, then I don't see why anyone should have to marry, unless they want children. After all, why would you have a child with a man if you wouldn't marry him (or - worse - he won't marry you!?)

I believe in the saying, You wanna try and tell my husband that.
He wrecks everything. He took the fan light down in the living room because the fan stopped working, and he was going to fix it before the weather gets really warm, BUT, when he took it down he broke one of the fan blades, it's no good now unless he sticks it with sellotape. Mr Botch it man.
Now, I've just replaced the wire on the iron, and who did a perfect job..... goes without saying.ME.

It may not be broke but as you are mentioning it on here I suspect that some of the bits are at least 'wobbly'. Perhaps you do need a change in your relationship but that change does not need to be marriage. Use your imagination (I'd help but I don't want a violation notice!) and surprise the hell out of him/her!

Well if your asking this question then its obviously bothering you so maybe it does need fixing!

Why dont you just mention it? 13 years is a long time! Hes obviously not going to do a runner?

If your relationship works, don't try and change things or fix it leave it alone. That doesn't meen you don't have to maintain it. Trust and an open line of camunication is the key to making love grow.

If it something that is important to you then maybe you should discuss it, if not then leave well alone!

My partner and I were together for 10 years when he proposed out of the blue - I never placed much importance on marriage for us but surprised myself by saying yes (and really meant it!)

It seems to be playing on your mind so maybe it is more important to you than you think.

leave it the hell alone,

but and a big BUT, if your asking the question there must be a problem!
just remember never return to a firework after its been lit or it will blow up in your face.

just be shure that if you leave you will not go back.
be gratefull that everything is ok and that your not stuck in a meaningLESS relation ship with no sex and lots of attitude to each other.

Together 13 years and you still don't communicate effectively enough to know what the other is thinking about concerning getting married.

That's so sad. Might as well let it ride.
