The power of religion is a very dangerous thing, they believe by blowing themselves up for what they see as a cause it will get them to their heaven and they will be a hero. They believe they are killing themselves for a Jihas or religion war. Whenever religion and extremists are involved it is ery dangerous. It is the same as Catholics who blow up abortion clinics and kill innocent people because their religion is against abortion yet their religion is also against killing all together. They blow themselves up for what they se as a greater cause and that is fighting for their religion which they believe is being threatened.

Why do you all think that Aziz 14 is for real, he is taking the p***. Just a joke...can't you all work it out.

Actually (non suicide) bombers are usually caught, then betray their conspirator friends.
When caught , the best they can expect is life imprisonment with possible torture and threat of death by other inmates or (more likely) by the persons that the captured bomber has betrayed.
Being a bomber is a one way ticket to hell and blowing themselves up just gets them there faster, without the risk of capture, torture or incarceration.
Planting and escaping is too risky for the co-conspirators as the IRA bombers discovered (repeatedly).
I can't think of any time in the UK where a bomber has planted a bomb, walked away and stayed at liberty for the rest of their life.

These so-called 'suicide bombers' do not perceive their act as suicide, rather as self-sacrifice - a laying down of their life, ie., martyrdom to their cause. O ye who believe!..... [do not] kill yourselves, for truly Allah has been to you Most Merciful. If any do that in rancour and injustice, soon shall We cast him into the Fire..." (Qur'an 4:29-30).
"Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause..." (17:33).
In addition, harming innocent bystanders, even in times of war, was forbidden by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This includes women, children, noncombatant bystanders, and even trees and crops. Nothing is to be harmed unless the person or thing is actively engaged in an assault against Muslims.

Amazing what some people will do when they are fed a steady diet of religion. Couple that with the reality that their lives aren't worth much here (no jobs, bleak future, etc.), and then direct all that at one common enemy, in this case anyone who is a non-believer, and you have a suicide bomber cocktail ready to be served. Stirred, not shaken.

They've been brainwashed since childhood that they will get 72 virgins for blowing themselves up. eternity is a long time. Why only 72 virgins? are they perpetually virgins. would you really want that? Why aren't you allowed to drink on earth ,but you get to "heaven" and you can booze it up with allah and the crew? They don't have the intelligence to realize they are being lied to.

You could plant a bomb but there is always a chance of it not going off. With a suicide bomb grim as it may seem they can walk it to where they want to detonate it causing maximum damage. I know sick or what.

They want the publicity to help their cause and to encourage other misguided brainwashed youths to follow their example. I am always surprised that they don't realise that the old Cleric's who encourage them to kill themselves
have managed to become old men and NOT KILL THEMSELVES in service for Allah.
The bombers often get rewards for their families I think the going rate used to be about £2,000 for a lost son or daughter.

Because they are under the misguided notion that they are going to be rewarded for there deeds in the after life for doing what they have done..don't they realise that if there is anything left at all then they will be going in a hole in the ground and nowhere else?
They also think it makes them a hero....there is nothing heroic in killing Innocent civilians who are simply trying to live there lives.
