I've just started playing the acoustic guitar and although I started with some songs, I'd like to know which songs are easy to play and which one do I just have to know how to play?? BTW, I prefer rock songs...

pretty much anything by jack johnson is pretty easy. you were'nt specific to what kind of music you like, so that makes it a hard answer. punk is easy, folk in strum form is easy, reggae is easy. but all have little quirks that make them great. find the nuances in each type of music. thats the key.

Try Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green day
and Undiscovered by Ashlee Simpson.
Despite ashlee's reputation as a pop singer, this song really does have a pretty, but still rock, bit to it, and very beautiful,and easy. So is Boulevard, very simple, only like 5 chords in the whole song, and easy ones,

knocking on heavens door is an easy one...its just G - D - C throught the whole song...and once u get the hang of it, its fun too. play along with your guitar to the guns and roses version. also u should learn how to read tableture...its easy and a GREAT way to learn songs.

Hey-
"Smells like Teen Spirit" is pretty easy to play. A lot of Nirvana's songs are very easy.
Some parts of "Enter Sandman" by Metallica are fairly easy to play, too.

go to your local music store and find easy guitar songs book and your on your way if you can't read music there are chord bars above the music to help you out
