I think the reason you said no MLK, Ali and Malcolm X is because they are the three that everyone quotes. I would look up Marcus Garvey, W.E.B. Dubois, James Baldwin as well but the person who is famous worldwide is Bob Marley. He is known for is messages of peace and love through his music all over the globe. Most famous African Americans other than your mentioned three are known mostly in America and not worldwide.

Crispus Attucks. He was the first man killed in the Boston Massacre which was a driving impetus to the colonies movement towards seperation from England. He was one of the first men to strike the English soldiers and actually was treated like a white man in memorium even though he was an escaped slave. For a VERY brief history of him check out: http://ga.essortment.com/crispusattucks_rhqa.htm

Martin Lutha King would be interesting to learn about, if it wasnt for him who knows what sociaty wed be living in. Ok now i get it MLK is martin, lol, i think hes still interesting to learn about, before him no black person was seen to be good for anything, without him Malcolm X, mohamed ali, micheal jordan, wouldnt have been recognised.
