Does any one know if there will a 3rd season of Rome on HBO? As far as I know they stopped making them becuase they were to expensive. So, is it really true its over forever???
What about a movie is there a chance for that?

I checked out the Rome website...it said it was over. But the show did give its viewers hope that there might be more in the future. Big Love is an awsome show too, but I didn't cry when the season ended...like Rome! :(

No, the production cost was to high. It was only scheduled for 2 seasons in the begining. You can go to the HBO website and it will tell you that its done.

I doubt it, to boot the price of producing it, Octavian governed for like yet another 30 years after he defeated Mark Antony, ushering interior the Pax Romana, the place there have been like no power struggles, so basically sitting around and staring at Octavian run Rome does not look too exciting to me. So, I doubt they had do a third season...too undesirable nonetheless.

the last episode doesn't say season finale, it said series finale, i loved that show too, but like band of brothers the good ones don't run forever that's part of what makes them great, unlike oz which started out awesome but the last 3 seasons wher painful
