Yes, but I also believe that you can change it.
I recently read an in-depth personology reading for my birthdate, and it was right on target. Things that I've known about myself for years have just been destined for me since I was born.

The propensity of things to happen in a certain particular way is determined and by the things that have already happened along the same course of events. If, for example, one would lay down triangular foundation for a building, it would then be very difficult to give it square shaped rise towards the top latter on. The reason for the things to happen comes from the things that have already happened. There is nothing preordained in existence as fate in the future. The future has not been decided yet, as there is no future as such, as something laid down in front like a road, or a track for us to flowing in the due course of time.
On the other hand, if I have been working towards certain goals, then the eventual outcomes, in this sense, will come from my past instead of any the I could call mine only when it is not now. Similarly, all the thing from foreign sources that would affect the result of my efforts would also come from their past. The fate is not written in the time to come, the time future, but is written in the times that have gone past, and is being written right now.

To bring in the question of fate is to bring in the very dilemma between freewill and predestination.
Every action we have ever taken has been influenced, molded and set forth by some previous action. Why do we belive in God? Is it because we've been brought up in such a way or becuase some dilemma in the past pushed towards the idea of an ever watching diety?
Do we hold fast to abortion because we have seen the destruction of futures through unexpected briths? Do we deplore it because we have been adopted or have had it hammered within us that it testifies to murder?
If our very beliefs and thoughts influence our actions and our beliefs have been molded throughout through mediums of influence does it not stand to reason that this is fate? that, in some miniscule way, if something had gone differently, even in the slightest way, that our lives wouldnt take the turns they do?
Life is a conglomeration, a montage, of experiences that lead us in a certain direction, may it be preordained or otherwise there is definently a domino effect, and this very answer, this very question, lies among the fallen.

I believe in fate to a certain point.
I think fate is guided by a higher spirit.
You can change things along the way if you want to but the circumstances in the end will be the same as the spirit wants.

yes fate is something which will happen in future and we are destined for that . or whatever happening with us was our future some time back.
in this cosmos nothing moves beacuse of self everything every motion , every action is build in such a way that it happens so smoothly we cant even comprehend that its fate or it was destined.
very small example - why earth revolves around sun , why sun is centre of energy , what if this were not show - may be then we may have not been here . who control all this , is it mere gravity , or something else.
we were destined to be so , so whatever we do and happen is our destiny our fate

Yes, lots of things happen in time and if people could take a real good look at things they would see that these events just seem to have been there waiting to materialize. It's like a symphony with all the notes there, each just waiting for the conductor to give the cue.
