The biggest difference between interior and exterior paint is a mold inhibitor. You can buy a small bottle at your local paint store. The bottles are only a couple of ounces.

If it's unopened ready-mix color you can return it. if it's a custom color mix you may be able to get a partial credit to return it. Don't use it outside. Exterior paints are fornulated to withstand UV rays and other abuses that interior paints can't. You'll just have to paint it over again if you use it.

I don't suggest you do this. Interior paints are formulated differently and don't hold up well to ultraviolet llight. They will "chalk" and break down much soon than an exterior paint.
