Assuming that you are not actively ignoring black people just because they're black, you have nothing to worry about. Friendships should develop around other things than the color of somebody's skin, or religion, or...etc.
Your friends may actually be the racists...if they hang with people only because they're black, and are trying to impress you with that, then that's racism. It may not be malicious, but it's still bad because when it comes to relationships, it puts a person's race ahead of them as an individual, and lessens them.

it really is like asking is there racism on earth. the answer is continually, sure. The question is one among various ranges of race, creed and ethnicity resistance. The parts that you element out would likely don't have any extra "racism" than the different section that vacationers time-honored. you received't blend with the locals as a lot as with others vacationing by to make sure the criteria of interest purely like you'd be doing. So the questions should be "Do racist human beings holiday interior u . s . a . and Do they end at vacationer places?" in case you bring about Portland for some days you'll discover an somewhat liberal and accepting populous, there are although some parts that you will be able to detect a lot less accepting for race than others purely like you detect in Mexico city, l. a. and Atlanta.

Its not racist as long as your not implying that you do not like black people in general - That would be considered as racist. You can choose your own friends hun! It shouldnt matter if they are green with yellow spots and worship a garden gnome as long as there is respect from both sides to base a sound friendship.

Most people associate with people within their own families, communities, churches, schools, or jobs.

That someone doesn't have friends from every ethnic group doesn't make one a racist.

To accuse someone of being a racist, based soley on who their friends are, is ignorant.
