It sets a different times throughout the UK. The further north you go, the later it sets (in the summer). In the Shetland Islands, it sometimes never sets at all.

It doesn't work like that. UK is about 9 degrees of longitude wide (Great Yarmouth to Enniskillen) and about 12 degrees of latitude in length (Lands End to Shetlands). Therefore, the sun sets in the west of Northern Ireland about 36 minutes later than it does on the North Sea coast of East Anglia. Also, it sets later in the north than in the sout, during summer and later during winter. Most tables give sunset at Greenwich, which is not even at the centre of the country or the time zone.

Depends which part of the country you're in. The sun sets earlier in the south and east than it does in the north and west.
In the far southeast of England sunset is 20:16, in the extreme northwest of Scotland it's 21:40. In London it's 20:22, Edinburgh is 20:54, Cardiff is 20:35.
