Technically, the UK still owns America. Should we therefore revoke the Colonists independance, and ask for back taxes since 1776?

And we want our tea back. With interest.

If you agree, we'll teach you to play proper sports, like soccer and cricket, plus bowls.

Also, McDonalds should sell British food, such as chicken tikka masala.

The reason the British own it, is we beat you during the war of Independance, but it was covered up by the Republicans.

No, we will always be under American law. We can't get away from high taxes. We fought a long time ago for Independence and won. Well, not us, but the British that came over here to get away from being under British rule. There was a reason for that, so why go back to the old ways. As far as the tea..you will have to drink the water in Boston even though the tea is long gone. That was funny though, I loved your last comment.

teach US cricket and soccer? But your not any good at these games. Why not get Australia or Sri Lanka to teach cricket and Brazil, Italy to teach soccer.

I think you are just envious of US dats why u cant get some facts outta your head and accept true facts.

Excuse me, the UK technically owns the US? I thought that it belonged to the Native Americans. 'Cause aren't they the ones that 'technically' had there land stolen from them. I don't believe they were financially compensated for what the UK 'claimed' from them, so back at ya. Should we (the US and the UK and Spain and France and Mexico) all start adopting Native American law since 'technically' we owe them?

The tea was reimbursed. With the 100 year celebration England got 'payed' for the loss of their tea.

The US is not part of the British Commonwealth and therefore 'you' can not claim anything.

But bribing the US by offering to teach cricket may work. :)

That might be true if not for that little revolution. You might want to look into the various countries that have owned the U.K. Also as far as that debt thing goes I think the U.K. still owes a little from the World Wars.

Actually they do not own it. any more than Rome owns most of Europe. When you loose a war for territory (IE the American Civil War) you no longer own the territory simple as that. American should only be subject to American laws that are constitutional

Actually you dont own the US. We kicked your lazy butts out of here in 1776, with some help from your friends in France. But thanks anyway.

No thank you. As for the "own" part of it, I am interested if you will post an update explaining your reasoning, if you have any.
