I'd say that it's safer than on newborns because the penis is at an actual bigger size, and you can choose how you want it done.
However, studies have found that it reduces sensitivity and pleasure, and makes masturbation more difficult. Those studies (new) are in the British Journal of Urology:

Are you having problems with your foreskin? If so, contact me and I'll be more than welcome in helping you. I say that because I had problems before and now it's perfect. Circumcision is rarely needed.

It's safe when the penis is more of a workable size. There are horror stories of doctors who did a circumsion and cut more than the foreskin. So I would say at a later age is safer. Infant stage is risky.

My Dad didn't get circumsized until he joined the service back 1941 because it was required. I remember him always saying it hurt like hell and was like a piece of raw meat. I guess that is why they do it at birth now so you don't have any memory of it. I am sure it is safer now then back then but I bet it is painful for a while.

If you are not having any sort of medical complication then do not do it. I hate the fact that I was circumsised. It is a proven fact that all it does is harm your child. There is absolutley nothing special you have to do with an uncut penis. The forskin is there to protect the head of the penis. Removing it desensitizes the penis as well and leads to a bad sex life in most cases. The pain it causes is tremendous, the equivalent of cutting off a womans clit. The child will not face any type of social backlash for being uncut and in most cases his peers will be jealous. In the rest of the world outside of the US. circusiosion is all but banned and is called "male genital mutilation". I beg of you dont do it.

Yes and no. t's safe in that you won't die from it. But it's very UNsafe for your sexual pleasure, your partner's sexual pleasure, your self esteem and your comfort level. Why would you want to be mutilated now? If you're into pain, just get a piercing or something. You'll eventually get over your midlife crisis, and you might better be intact when your common sense returns.

Yes but it is more expensive and the recovery is longer . Contact a urologist and they can tell you everything . They are the ones that have to do the surgery after you over 1 month old which i am guessing you are .

Why would you do it after so long??
I know there is evidence that circumcised men have a lower rate of penile cancer but if you lived your entire life w/ out it and learned to take care of it why do it later in life?

Yes, but why would you , if your perfectly healthy and don't have any problems. I see no reason to fix something that isn't broke.

Safe, yes. Painful, without a doubt. I would skip it if I were you.

Sure, the Bible is full of grown men who were! Talk to your doctor about it.
