Yes! You can do it by downloading any software that blocks them example. Google Toolbar.

Its better if you have Mozilla Firefox as your browser as it already has a opo-up blocker installed in it and even java software. Mozilla is free and can be downloaded from www.mozilla.com. Then, you can download Ad-block plus so that you can block any advertisement on a page you do not want to show up.

Also, a lot of viruses and spyware pass through Internet Exploror so I suggest you always use Mozilla.

Yes, if you are useing internet explorer, go into the internet options and make sure pop up blocker is turned off. If you have any other kind of browsing enhancement like yahoo tool bar or google toolbar, then make sure you have pop up blocker turned off there too. Once you make those changes, close IE and relaunch it.

If you only want to turn it off "one time", just hold down the ctrl key and click on the link to the site. That will disable the pop up blocker for that one time only.
