How can you really tell?
When something bad happens everyone notices but when good things happen it goes un-noticed.

The good things that happen in life are sometimes more subtle but they still can have as much of a positive impact on the lives of people as negative things. It's all a matter of choice.

But go ahead and jump on the negative band wagon and see how many positive things come your way. I prefer to still see the glass as half- full and do what I can to keep filling it with positive things.

This may be an old saying but life really is what we make it. Although there are negative things in this world it is still our choice to decide how much of it we will let affect our lives and in what way.

Yes there is a lot of bad things in the world but it helps me to appreciate the good. Of course I'm just as human as the next person - sometimes it gets me down for a while but never for very long.

There's more good people in the world then there are bad people. However there area lot of bad people around in the world that it feels as if there are just as many bad people as there are good people.

More good. If there were more bad, none of us would be able to survive. My husband and I have moved several times to various states in this country. We have had wonderful neighbors everywhere we have been. We have met people of different religions, nationalities, and races who were just awesome people, people with good hearts. I have found that most people just want to live in peace and want to be able to raise their children to be good people. There are a few people on this earth who have not grasped an understanding of taking care of their fellowman so instead they choose to want to be powerful, greedy, selfish, and mean. Sadly, those characteristics are just as contagious as being kind, thoughful, courteous, and law-abiding. Each of us has to make up our minds what and who we will be. Then we have to teach the children those values and practices. In turn, the good will conquer the evil over time. Finally, my faith to be the basis for my thinking. I know without a doubt that in time we will all give an account for whether we have chosen to be "good" or "bad." We should all ask ourselves in the end what we are willing to be able to stand and give an account for.

I'm always intersted in the way people phrase questions. The world is not "THEM" with THOSE people doing THOSE things. It is not a distant planet with good and bad parties.

It is your lifeboat. Yes, we,the passengers, are a bunch of knuckleheads that are trying pretty hard to sink the ship. There is no captain and no crew. Simply floundering passengers with one or two trying to fix the leak.

Half are yelling "your end of the boat is sinking." Some are screaming, "hey, idiot, you broke it, you fix it."

Of course, there is a philosopher in the back, witnessing the mutiny thinking "what's wrong with these jerks." Good thing I am only an observer......Glub.....glub.....glub....

I believe it has more good, but that it's difficult to see all the good because the bad gets magnified by the press and because there are too many good people that don't stand up for a cause or for what's right.

Hi Berry - I think the world has a lot more good in it. The problem is that good stuff, unfortunately isn't as exciting, therefore we hear more about the bad things.

there is a lot of good with a lot of good ppl here on earth,but the bad always out weighs that b-cuz it is easy to do bad an ppl who will neva do bad in there life,that's y u have gangsta music,movies an video games so ppl can act out there fantasies threw entertainment.
