I have my phone set on silent, but yet, when i recieve instant messages the phone sends an alert tone. I cant figure out how to get that on silent too... Can someone please help?

Go to "Profiles"
Scroll down to "Advanced"
Go to the "Quiet" profile or whatever profile that you want to silence the alert, hit the menu key and select "edit"
You'll see "New IM" and click the trackball to edit
Make sure that "Out of Holster" and "In Holster" are both set to "None"
hit the menu key and chose "save"

Buy a regular cell phone instead of a $400 piece of crap. If you want to play games, surf the net, etc. buy a computer, or stay home. A cell phone should be used for emergency calls, not carry your whole life story around with you.
A hammer will solve the problem
