And did you know Michael Bay turned would not let the originaal guy who played Megatron reprise his role. These aren't the Transformers they are the Bayformers.

I was excited when I first heard the live action movie was being made. But once I researched it and found pics & watched the trailers, I was quite disappointed. As a huge fan of generation 1 Transformers, I don't like the new look they made for this movie at all. Optimus does not have a long hood or a flame paint job. Bumblebee is meant to be a VW Beetle, and Megatron looks like some freakish demon. The makers said they were Transformer fans as kids and hoped to do it justice...but personally I just think they wanted to put their own mark on a classic cartoon...and screwed it up.
Anything after Generation 1 was a joke. CGI Beast Wars was garbage. The new toys are all plastic and break easily (my son has some). They try to remake the classics in toy form but even those look way off.

Of the beholder. I don't particularly care for the new look myself, but remember - it's only a movie. Everyone remember the original Transformers as a cartoon, so there's going to be differences between them.
I myself am only going to go to the movie to have some memory flashbacks to when I was a kid on Saturday mornings - I might not particularly enjoy the movie, but I'll enjoy the memories...

i think they look kinda cool...
and none of the live action movies made from old cartoons have ever let the person who originally did the voice also the the role in the movie version.
watch the old cartoons if you don't think you'll like the new version...but i think the new version will open the world of TRANSFORMERS up to a whole new group of fans!

i grew up loving the gen 1 transformers, but as an adult i find it way corney, including megatrons voice, if i wantted to see the old school cartoons i could buy the dvd, i am jazzed about the new movie especially about the fact that its more adult oriented, it needed to be updated, and in my opinion beast wars and beast machines was the best cartoon ever

Please tell me ANY OTHER WAY they could have made Transformers into a real live action film?
The film isn't even out yet and you're complaining? I bet you're one of the guys that was whining about Casino Royale and how it would probably be the worst bond ever!
Grow up and wait for the release!
