I have a 2 year agreement with Cingluar. Now that they are AT & T, then does that breach the contract? Like to change plans but am stuck with the agreement for another year.

It would depend on the specifics of your contract, but I would say most likely no.

If you're really unhappy with your cell phone service, it might be better to just pay the early termination fee, rather than pay monthly charges for a service you don't want.

Depends on the exact language of your contract, but I am guessing that it is not a breach and the interest is assignable and/or includes a clause anticipating a corporate buyout/change. I think you are stuck with the agreement.
