Your sister is a healthy woman. A heavy period is a sign of hormonal activity, a fertile uterine environment, and good cleansing mechanism for removal of the uterine lining - or a healthy reproductive system!

Many women find this annoying and take hormones to counteract this condition.

But personally, I would not mess with my reproductive health.

Many women get heavy periods. If it really bothers her she should see her doc about getting on birth control to try to lighten it some. Unless she wants to use pads there is no reason she can't use tampons.

I've read and experienced that heavy periods with horrible cramps can be cause by Estrogen Dominance. USP Progesterone Cream can alleviate these symptoms without causing side affects.

I too used to get heavy periods, then my ob-gyn changed my birth control to sprintec pills, and they are at least 60% lighter, and much more easier to handle.

this is very simple ure sister bleeds heavly due to stress or work presure over her or may be due to hormonal imbalance. i would suggest her to go to a gyn and get the relavent tests done so that she does not face any problem in further

some women are just that way and there isn't a thing you can do about it naturally=BUT=ask your Dr if the birth control pill will help to make them lighter =it's worth a try
