a test will measure the hcg level in your urine, you can test up to 4 days before your missed period, usually around 2-weeks after conception although the hcg level may not be high enough to be picked up on a home pregnancy test. i would wait until at least the day your period is due before testing and even then it could show up a false negative! i took 6 tests before 1 showed up positive, and that was almost a week after my missed period! sorry if im going off the subject lol - usually 2 weeks after conception - good luck!

Depends on your body and the sensitivity and type of test. Women will produce hcg, the hormone pregnancy tests look for, at different rates. So while some women can possibly get a positive on 7DPO (seven days post ovulation) there are some they will not test until they are a week late. Different tests have different levels of sensitivity. The 'early' results tests have a lower threshold, normally 20-25. However, they typically have a higher rate of false negatives. All tests are best used after you have officially missed your period. I'm not saying you can't get results sooner, just the error factor decreases if you wait. However, hcg level above 5 is considered pregnant, and a blood test can detect it as early as 5-7DPO. Basically if you are doing the testing yourself you may use an early result test at about 10-12DPO, but best results are achieved about 14DPO.

It depends on how sensitive the pregnancy test is. If you get the most sensitive pregnancy test (link to a listing below) you could get a positive result 10 days after confirmed ovulation (nearly 5 days before most women miss their period). However, to be on the safe side, it is recommended that you test 14 days after confirmed ovulation to allow more time for the hCG (the pregnancy hormone) to build up in your system.
If you are trying to conceive, and want to know as soon as possible if you are pregnant, I would recommend having at least three to five home pregnancy tests on hand. That way you can test at 10dpo (days past ovulation), 12 dpo, 14 dpo and so on until either your period starts or you get a positive result. Always wait two days between tests to allow the hCG to double.
There are some women that will not test positive with a home pregnancy test until they are a couple of months along. This is rare though! What happens is that the hCG does not enter their urine in large enough amounts to register on a home test. Their only way to confirm pregnany early on is to have a blood test done.

About 12 days after conception, or ovulation. I tried to test on day 10 and got a negative, but tested again on day 12 and got a positive.

After you have Ovulated, it takes 6-10 days for the embryo to implant in your uterus lining. You can take early predictor tests up to 5 days before your period is due. It is really best to wait until at least the day after you period is due becuase the longer you wait, the more pregnancy hormone, your body will produce. I have seen a lot of women test early and get a negative but then when their period is late test again and get a positive. Best of luck to you.

About a week or so. Once the pregnancy hormone is present after conception, the levels of hormone double each day. It takes 1-2 weeks for the levels to be high enough to show on a pregnancy test.
