I love every book and my favorite part is how everything is so fictional but feels real when you read the books. JKR makes the book so phenominally great that it is hard to put it down.
I dislike the fact that someone important dies in the last three books and how whoever does die is dearly beloved.

I am a Harry Potter fan. I like the way the wizarding world comes alive and seems almost normal through the descriptions in the books. Who can resist battles between Good and Evil, when the good guy is the underdog? Who hasn't felt as awkward and alone as Harry does much of the time? When I read or re-read the Harry Potter novels, I can escape my own world for a little while and that is what I enjoy most about the series - the escapism.-

I like how he is a real character, with his own flaws. The books have made me laugh out loud and cry. The films were good as well, maybe not quite as funny at times but still excellent. The only thing i don't like is that many younger kids started reading the first few books and now they have become so dark and violent that they arent allowed to. However this is not an issue for me and besides i think it is cool that you can "grow up with harry" i guess.

I really love the books but hate the films! I most like the humour JKR brings out in the books. For example, Harry's internal battle about Ginny in book 6 ("she's your best friend's sister!"). I also love the glimpse we get of James, Sirius and Lupin when they were younger in book five and I love the cool friendship between them, particularly James and Sirius. That's why I'd say the Order of the Phoenix is my favourite book but the Goblet of Fire is a close second! What I like the least... hmmm... probably the fact that Sirius had to die! :(

Can't wait for the next book!

I like the idea of the world of Harry Potter. The concept that there's an educational institution for kids with magical abilities fascinates me.

Sadly, almost everything else about the series is terrible. J.K. Rowling is a horrid writer. She abuses and neglects her characters for the sake of some idiotic plot. She tells the SAME story in every book. She uses adverbs profusely. She cannot end a book to save her life. She is a bad example of what writing is, and her financial success -- due entirely to marketing -- speaks volumes about the despicable state of English literature.

The first book is probably the best, because it's episodic instead of a massive tome of redundancy.

The books and films are very creative, and filled with likeable characters. I like Voldemort least, but then, I think every HP fan would feel the same way. My favorite book and film; book-The Prisoner of Azkaban and movie- The Goblet of Fire.

"[Voldemort] can move faster than Severus Snape confronted with shampoo when he wants to." -Fred Weasley "Oh, very good....Yes, it is easy to see that nearly six years of magical education have not been wasted on you, Potter. 'Ghosts are transparent.'" - Severus Snape "There's no need to call me sir Professor." - Harry Potter "Mr. Moony presents his compliments to Professor Snape and begs him to keep his abnormally large nose out of other people's business. Mr. Prongs agrees with Mr. Moony, and would like to add that Professor Snape is an ugly git. Mr. Padfoot would like to register his astonishment that an idiot like that ever became a professor. Mr. Wormtail bids Professor Snape good day, and advises him to wash his hair, the slimeball." - Marauder's Map All of these they are just so funny! Probably the shampoo one! lmfao

What I like most about Harry Potter is that he is attending a very good private wizard school and learning some interesting stuff.

What I don't like about Harry Potter is that he is a little homosexual and commits suicide in the last book.
