Have you ever ended up with someone a friend fancied? You may have and not even know it. Fancying someone and actually being involved with someone are two different things.
Was this the only girl you fancied, were you involved with anyone else had you told your friend that this was the only girl for you? Since she was just sort of a whim or what if in the back of your mind you shouldn't be p*ssed at your friend for asking her out and the two of them hitting it off. Go find another girl you "Fancy" and be a little more aggressive about asking her out or someone else will end up with her.

Well...a long time ago at work (my best friend & I worked together at the time), there was this beautiful man I wanted...and she knew full well that I was interested in him. Long story short, she ended up w/ him (they've been together for 3 1/2 yrs now), and to this day I'm convinced that initially she hooked up w/ him because she knew I wanted him...but it all worked out for the best! : )

Although it can be upsetting, I figure the person chose the one they wanted to be with (and it wasn't me) so no point in me getting too upset...I certainly don't want to be with someone who doesn't want to be with me.
I just move on...and hope my friend is happy (because that's what we do for friends).
