are you that person who feels the need to point out even the tiniest of spelling or grammatical errors people make here in P&S?

no, i find that the words or intended meanings behind all the words and typos to be the most important factors in yahoo answers. i am an english language arts teacher, and i make mistakes from time to time, too! no biggie! look at the big picture...that is what's most important...

Tiniest errors? No. But my biggest pet peeve is when people ask trivial relationship questions, and their ENTIRE question is rife with spelling and grammar mistakes! I'll lay into them at that point. Anybody whose spelling and grammar is so poor as to resemble a third-grader's should really be focusing less on childish crushes and more on their studies.

Although I always try to spell correctly myself, I do not feel the need to point out someone else's errors. In my opinion, questions and answers that point them out are rather arrogant. It is ok to help someone you know with his/her spelling and grammar. It is not ok when you use this to mock someone you don't even know. The reason being, these derogatory remarks can be interpreted as much more than just some spelling problems. In addition, smart answers are not necessarily spelled correctly. At times, these errors can even add to the meaning.

As long as I can figure it out I am okay with bad spelling or grammatical errors. Not everyone is perfect. I sure make my share of mistakes.

I can't even keep up with my own issues, mistakes, misfortunes, let alone anyone else's!
No...I can't spell either so I definately have NO room to point out other's misspellings!

Only when the question is full of them. Otherwise I let the little mistakes slide. I know not everybody is perfect but that is what spell-check is for.

Not me. This is about fun, not about an English lesson. It annoys me when people feel the need to point things like that out. Typos happen. . .as long as you can understand what's being asked, who cares how it's written?

Yes, I am one of them. English is not even my main language, I'm a french-canadian. Sometimes, I have this feeling that I'm better at it than people that speak english at home. Sad. Very sad.

Grammar errors, yes. I forgive some on spelling as I tend to fat finger keys. However, despite my screen name, I hate most chat speak. Obviously, I can stand LMAO but I hate it when people won't type out the word "YOU". It is silly to type "ya" or "u" when "you" is only three letters long.

only if it seems based out of pure ignorance, rather than a typo...like if the person puts together sentences like a 5 year old...then its time to let them know, education is a good choice...
