the fabric healiner is usually put in with contact ( Formica ) cement......a nasty and dangerous job because of the fumes; they will give you a tremendous headache and are terribly explosive in a closed environment.

Also, like working with Formica, once the glue on the fiberglass touches the glue on the vinyl headliner that's it......no moving it to reposition it so its got to go on perfectly the first time!

I don't think I've ever seen a boat with a headliner. Usually if they have a roof, it's simply finished fibreglass like the rest of the boat, or maybe wood. I imagine a fabric headliner would be installed just like a car's!
