Why not? The French have Ségolène Royal running to be president of their country. I think Hilary would be better qualified than George Bush.

Yes, "gasp!" A female, how dare her! We've got 90 female members of Congress and a woman two heartbeats away from the Presidency as Speaker of the House. Most people seem to have accepted that females are very good at politics. The misogynists are losing their grip in this country and that is something to be applauded! Come on, join the rest of us in the 21st century, we promise it won't hurt.

It is totally possible that a woman could be the best candidate in a presidential race. That is simply not the case this year.
Furthermore, all things being equal, if I'm given two equally qualified candidates, one male and one female, I'd vote for the male. I'd prefer a male as president of my country, but in a race of unqualified males and a standout woman...then I'd vote for the woman.

MESS UP THE SYSTEM???
So, you think we might damage our perfect little system that has been humming along so nicely? The system needs an ***-kicking.
A female should run for President, of course. Gender will have no impact on "the system".

What has one's gender got to do with being the President of the United States? Only a bigot would refuse to vote for someone based solely on their gender.

I think this country needs a president with a different point of view, and a woman is perfect for that!

Uh, it's hard to imagine the system messed up any worse than it is now.
A government completely and thoroughly corrupt, doing everything it can to destroy the country.
How is sex relevant, or are you one of those who is incapable of grasping the simple and obvious truth that women are human beings, not some "lesser" species?

As long as She makes decisions based on fact, research, and logic, and leaves compassion, mood, and feeling at home. I don't mean to sound sexist but most women I know tend to let their emotions guide their decisions. Also foriegn policy could suffer because alot of countries will not accept this and may discontinue relations with the United States.

There's no reason why not. Countries around the world, including many of our allies and even a few Muslim countries, have had female leaders.

Why not? As long as she can juggle her role as a mom, wife and president, I think it would be a fantastic position to be in. Shows that women can do what men can, and maybe even better.
