The heat of vaporization is the amount of energy required to convert a certain amout of liquid into gas at the boiling point. Sweat keeps us cool by taking heat energy from the body in order to convert itself into vater vapor. That is to say, the seat removes heat from the body when it evaporates. However, this is not an ideal application of heat of vaporization, because the sweat evaporates at temperatures much lower than the boiling point. As a result, the energy required is different from the heat of vaporization.

It's Thermodynamics: Heat of vaporization is the energy necessary to transform a liquid into vapor.
When our body's "overheating", salty water pours on our skin, sweat. This sweat then absorbs the heat of our body to vaporize. Of course, it won't vaporize completely, because it'll only take away the unneeded heat, to keep pour body at 37°C, not more not less.

Sweat is a liquid produced by the body and is comprised of water and salts. The evaporation of sweat keeps us cool. Some amount of energy (heat of vaporization) is required for sweat to make the phase change from liquid to gas. Some of that energy is provided by the body.
