Buy another lock to replace it. Use a phillip screw driver to remove the lock and replace it with one you can buy at any hardware store, including walmart or Take it to a lock smith to rekey the lock.
So easy my 15 year old daughter has done it. I bought the lock and she installed it.

Boarding up a window? Not sure if you are talking about getting a sheet of plywood to nail up over the window..Sorry,,I dont give advice for power saws and measurements.

Remove the two screws on the inside of the door. This should allow you to remove the handle (if there is one) or the cylinder of the lock. If you purchase the same brand lock, you shouldn't need to remove the bolt section. Just replace the cylinder and attach the new handle with two screws. The window would depend on what you have to attach fasteners to. You could cover the outside of the window with plywood and a long bolt run through the center of it. On the inside, place a long board across the opening, extending past the frame, and put a nut on the bolt to hold the plywood in place.

To replace your current lock, using a screwdriver, remove all screws & pull the knob apart & remove. The easiest thing to do is to buy another lock like the one you removed. You'll better understand how to install the new one.

To board up a window, get some 3/4" plywood, cut it or have it cut to fit the window, then nail it in place with some nails. Someone at a hardware/home improvement center, can advise you on which nail is best. Lowe's or most places like it, will cut your plywood to size for you, if need be.

As others have suggested you probably only need to change the cylinder (the bit the key fits into). One thing not mentioned is that you MAY need to shorten the bar which comes out of the cylinder to suit your door thickness. Use a small hack saw.
