I do not completely trust the Saudis but I know there major motivation is money, and since they get most of their money from oil sales in the US and with US companies, I think they are trustworthy for now. They are not going to do anything to hurt the US because it will end up hurting their bank accounts.

There are many references and I've pasted part of one below. Consider that Bin Laden and 17 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis. The Saudi royals have been playing both sides of the fence for years and years.
