I have lost a few in my day,good ones too.I wouldn't so much chalk it up to a misunderstanding,as I would stubbornness on both parties,for one and long lapses of silence can lead to "How to""When to"Who will" begin the process of being vulnerable enough to say,"hey,I love you and I miss you,however my own pride and fear of rejection is what keeps me from really making the move,I have put it out there to other family members Hey,tell her I said "HI",wow,haven't seen her in a long time,Hows she doing? Ya know it kills me,its like I'm dead to her.Sometimes I think her friendship was not unconditional because I have some personal problems that at times would escalate,and she wouldn't speak to me.But who the heck doesn't????Either that or its the aging process which started hitting her hard and I mean hard about 10 years ago,and I could care less,however it didn't hit me and still hasn't.I have lived a pretty wild life off and on as well,and she has not,she is extremely vain,,,really bad.....I think this might be the issue at hand here..........personally I think that is pathetic,shallow and selfish.(sorry re-read your question.this is a long time friend,not on here)
