You must be in Europe! (Assuming it is a true slow worm)

You may want to look up the care of the thing for your teacher- for example, they don't eat lettuce.

I would make my concerns known to the teacher.

Personally, I encourage 'classroom visitors'- wild caught animals released after a couple days. I DO NOT encourage individuals keeping wild animals or keeping a 'visitor' for more than a very short time.

(I think this because I think there is a real value in people seeing the animals around them, and that they can make a good teaching tool.)

It's a worm get a life and gret over it. I think it's good to have visitors or classroom pets. You's hate to see all of my pets then.

These are lucky worms to be eating lettuce. I have thousands and thousands of worms locked up in my compost bin. I force them to work day and night (did you know that worms don't sleep?) eating my grody vegetables.

Slow worms are REPTILES, people- they are LIZARDS, not worms.
Unless your teacher has actual worms. That just happen to be slow.
