Of course gays can be happy. The word "gay" originally meant "happy," anyway.

Generally each and everyone of us will be happy when things come our way, in whatever aspect of life. A miser will be happy if he can save even a few cents of his life. One will be happy when he passed his examination. And so i suppose the nature of opposite is similar. There are moments of life that we experience frustration, upset and boring. That because something bothering in mind that does not fulfil our anxiety. Are gays happy? I am gay and i experience my carousel of life being a gay. I am only unhappy when i am alone with no one to talk to. But i do not regret being a gay. Is just another sexual preferences. We live a life as any other person living in this world.

I can't speak for other gay guys, but I know that I'm very happy.

I'm gay and I'm happy, but one has nothing to do with the other, I'm not gay because I'm happy, and I'm not happy because I'm gay.

But in the end I can be talked about as being gay, and as being happy.

About as happy as I am in being left-handed. It's fine until I can't find a pair of scissors I can use.

Gays are like any other pick-on group. They are happy if people are being nice.

Yes in general I would say so, most of the gays and lesbians I know are out. It's the ones in the closet that are miserable.

I'll bet you will discover that if they are honest, most gays suffer depression more often then straight people do.

It should be pointed out that gay people mask the cause of their depression by lashing out at others, blaming bigots, and "discrimination by society" as the cause of their unhappiness. But even in places where being gay is widely accepted like San Fran, depression in gays is more prevalent than in straight communities.

Everyone makes choices towards which direction they want to take in life. Some choices make one happier than others. People can try to use the excuse that they were born that way, but that just removes personal responsibility from their actions. Making the choice to live a gay lifestyle isn't the best path to take to life a happy and meaningful life.

I think that all people who are true to their natural, inborn sexual orientation are much happier than those who try to live a lie.

It should be pointed out that being LGBT does not cause depression, but being discriminated against by society and ignorant bigots constantly can. So anyone who tries to tell you that LGBT people are "naturally" prone to depression is using false logic to support their own hatred.
