Bush knows exactly what he's doing and it's not any instructions by God.
He knows he can make use of the devotion of the Christians and turn it around so that they would also support him. How he did this is to take his own personal failings and spin it around:
He is a born again Christian after his bout and struggle with alcoholism.
Addiction in one form has now manifested itself into another, namely his detrmination to prove his father wrong. He went after Saddam Hussein, even though he has absolutely nothing to do with the attack on Iraq.
Not only that, with Saddam around, Iraq was not the breeding ground for terrorists.
Now, because of his failings and misplaced priorities, Osama is still free to plot and harm America.
Iraq is now a festing pool of terrorists and insurgencies.
America is a lot more vulnerable because the resources are very strained.
Most importantly, the country is split.
All this is not due to divine intervention.

According to the prophets of the (GOP) God's Only Party, Jerry, Pat and James God chose George Bush to be president.

Evangelicals believe the government is ordained by God. And that we are supposed to live in subjection to that authority.
I do not know anyone who believes anyone is inspired by God, excepting some Catholics who believe that about the Pope.
I do know plenty of Christians who believe God speaks to them. He hasn't spoken to me audibly, but I believe the Bible to be inspired.

needless to say they do no longer believe in God, yet play to the area as a manner to get votes from the religious gullible. Hell preachers stood in front of their congregations and advised them to vote for Bush because of the fact he became a guy of god. have you ever seen any law banning abortion and how did the gay marriage exchange pass. basically blowing smoke is all of the repuglicans do and supply tax cuts to the very wealthy whilst leaving the undesirable and center training at the back of.

Fundamentalist Christians (or the religiously-correct term "evangelicals") will believe anything that is not based on scientific fact.

I don't think God's advice would be to lie to the people and attack a country that is no threat to you.

I don't know but have you ever noticed that most people who are using God as their basis for what they are doing, aren't acting very God-like? Do you think God would be happy with how W has presented himself? I don't.

Nope,
But Liberals seem to think so.
Everything he has done, they say he did because god told him.
Then they say they have heard Bush say so,
But for some reason, they can never seem to provide any proof, amazing since there are ytube videos of everything else, they don't have one of Bush ever saying god told me this, or god told me that.
