If you only want a high number of responses, ask questions which either only elicit a yes/no answer (for lazy, point-hungry answerers) or ask a question where they can talk about themselves without actually sharing an opinion, e.g. "What colour are your eyes?" (and of what interest that is to anybody but your optometrist, I don't know). Sometimes you get a lot of answers where the question invites people to moan about something but mostly if you ask anything more taxing than something which can be answered in less than one complete sentence, don't get your hopes up.

The most answers Iv'e had to a question is about 40, I was quite amazed at the time.

there is a religeous guy on here somewhere, I saw it this moning who has had a question posted for about 6 months advising people about meditation etc,, he has had over 1,200 stars and about 8,500 answers
