I have 3 children that are 4 years and younger. I'm a homemaker. I have no friends. I will do chores all day long...however, when I know a relative is coming over I kick into high gear and accomplish a ton of things. My husband sometimes travels overnight or more and I again kick things into high gear so that he comes home to a clean house. Soooo...My question is why can't I do the same on average days? I have less motivation...I just mosey along...doing what has to be done and not much more. Any suggestions as to how to keep up the fast pace as well as why this happens? Hope this made sense! :-)

Maybe because image is more important to you? You can live at your own pace, but if you have to present yourself to the "outside world," you don't want to risk being "judged?"

Just throwing out an idea... I am not a professional...

I would suggest you stop looking!

You can, when you need to, work at peak performance, accept that quality but don't force it.

Widen your interests to gain a few friends and enjoy the opportunties available when life allows you a slower pace.

My guess is that you're exhausted. Three children under the age of 4 is a very busy job!
