No WAY! Not since the PATRIOT act. This particular admin has made me appreciate the 2nd amendment...this is exactly the type of government they were thinking of when they wrote that protection into the constitution!

Do you trust the federal government more now than you did eight years ago?
No. But it's important to note that I don't trust it any less, either.
Because, it's a government. Governments have more power than any human being can be trusted with. Ergo, you can't trust them.

I trust my government about the same... I don't get caught up in that whole Democrat vs. Republican crap... That's why I stay Independent / Conservative..... I understand and believe that each party wants the best for our country. They just have different Idea's on how to achieve it...
Although I do believe that the Democrats play a little more dirty out of desperation. And Republicans seem to be a little more Reserved and less accusive. It's just the game of politics and I follow who ever I feel has the same or close to the same Idea's I do for the country... They can be either party, as long as they have their head on somewhat straight... I don't follow the popular crowd, they are usually blinded by hate.

It's about the same. I trust the government to know more than I do about international issues (because I have no choice).
But think about this: If you do not trust the US government, why do you want the government to provide food, clothing and shelter for Americans?

I don't trust people in general anymore now than I trusted them eight years ago. The fedral government is not a senient being, it is a collection of idividual people who are no more or less trust worthy than any other

One should always question what the government is doing. The current administration is the least trustworthy in history. Distorting intellegence, linking Iraq, to 9/11, paying off journalist to write favorable stories about their policies and programs and feeding them false info, silencing dissenters within the government, making lame excuss for their incompetence, lying on national TV, etc.

Why would anybody trust such a monster bureaucracy such as the government - with anything, including my life? No, if anything, I trust the government less than I did when Bush was inaugurated.

I trust them now to know.
Where I am,
Who I call,
What I buy,
Where I go,
Who I associate with.
And many other things that are an intrusion into my personal life.
I can't stand Huge Federal over-reaching government programs and spending.
EDIT
"I don't recall"
Ronald Reagan
Alberto Gonzalez

I've learned not to trust the government because they lie, no matter which party is in power.
