It is now apparent that plenty of information was circulating in the CIA that no weapons of mass destruction were being developed by Iraq that were a serious threat to America, so, why all the smoke and mirrors?

He didn't and that is why Bush had him fired for not going along with his plan to invade Iraq.

If George Tenet had HID any intelligence he would've been out on his rear four years ago, and the Republican media machine would have justifiably blamed him for the whole fiasco.

Tenet and others have clearly stated that there were no nuclear weapons being developed by Saddam Hussein. This WMD term is just to confuse the public -- to lump chemical and biological weapons in with nuclear. If Americans thought that Saddam only had chemical and biological weapons, they would never have backed the invasion.

George Tenent did not hide anything from the Bush administration. The Bush people simply suppressed any thing he had to say until some time had passed and there was nothing anyone could do about it anyway. It only proves that everything president Bush had to say about the invasion of Iraq was a lie!!!!!

Isn't that exactly what Hans Blix said when his team came back from Iraq, but Bush said, and I'm paraphrasing now..."I still believe there are wmd's in Iraq-They must have moved them..". So Tenet didn't really hide anything from the administration. They just ignored Blix's recommendations.

Occam's razor my friend. Look for the simple and obvious answer. Bush and his buddies wanted to invade Iraq. Everyone had his own motivation, but it isn't hard to understand who was behind the twisted intelligence.

George Tenet was told the kind of intelligence they wanted. This sick twisted administration took office with the intention of invading Iraq no matter what they had to do.

None.

I am sure all intelligence was forwarded, just cherry picked to find what was wanted, the rest was ignored.

Politics as usual.
