From Dusk Till Dawn - a GENUIS film, it was written by Tarantino and directed by Robert Rodriguez, it's got Tarantino, George Clooney, Harvey Keitel and Juliette Lewis in it and is just so funny and really cool.

If you had never read the book The Queen of the Damned, by Anne Rice, then ya might like the movie, however if ya read the book, you would know the movie was a grave disappointment. However, Interview with a Vampire( Brad Pitt , Tom Cruise, Kristen Dunst, Antonioa Banderas) was excellent and followed the book.
And in looking for a good vampire movie, one must never overlook the classic movies with Bela Lugosi or Christopher Lee
The Re-make of Salem's Lot, Rob Lowe)was a good movie as well.
Lost Boys definitely the best, as well as John Carpenters Vampires( James Woods), and John Carpenters Vampires Laos Muertos (Jon Bon Jovi)( I think that's how ya spell it)
and Yes Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman, Kate Beckinsale)
And last but certainly not least, we Have the excellent Bram Stoker's Dracula, Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, and Keanu Reeves star in this classic.

The orginal Dracula with Bela :) You can't beat that! He put the sexy in vampire ;)
Francis Ford Copala's -Bram Stokers Dracula with Gary Oldman as Prince Vlad also starring; Keanu Reeves, Winonna Ryder, Sadie Frost, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Cary Elwes, Richard E Grant, Bill Campbell, Tom Waits
Gary Oldman's Prince Vlad brought the sexy back, again!
Its an excellent movie, a must see.
Lost Boys
Interview with the Vampire (even tho I thought I would puke that Tom Cruise was LeStat, it was a fine film and he was actually good in it)

Well first off Underworld sucked. It was made for the "suicidal pre-teen" demographic. The ones who shop at Hot Topic. That said, some good movies are:
Interview with the Vampire
Dracula 2000
Bram Stoker's Dracula
That should get you started down a better path.

Kudos Sharkey for mentioning one of my favorites, Innocent Blood
Some more:
Tales from the Crypt: Bordello of Blood
Dracula 2000
Dracula 3000 (this movie is in no way related to Drac 2k. But it does have Coolio and it is sooooo bad it's funny)
Dracula, Dead and Loving It
Shadow of the Vampire (very, very, VERY good)
Others have already mentioned Lost Boys and the Blade movies, so I will leave you with one caveat about Bram Stoker's Dracula:
It has Keanu Reeves
