You know, I think it's all how you perceive "right" and "wrong."

I've definitely had an interesting life, and have lived it almost backwards from the typical "order" you do things: I started school, went into the workforce, had a child, bought a house with my fiancee, got married, had another child and am currently trying to finish my education. Yeah, I definitely took the dirt road with the potholes instead of the paved one. But, I have a great life. I have a wonderful husband, we live in a nice house, my kids are well taken care of, we live in a place we love and I am generally content with my life.

Would I have done some things differently if I could do it again? Sure, I probably would have made some different choices. But I'm very much an optimist, and I think that often the path that we think is "wrong" is sometimes just a different way of getting there, and that's OK too. I'd like to think that all of the things that I have done and have experienced in my life have made me stronger, more mature, better able to handle the potholes in life because I've definitely had my share!

I noticed you are interested in counseling, which I am as well as a possible career, and you know, people like us can do very well in that field because we understand--we've been in bad relationships, single parents, made bad choices, done some things we're probably not very proud of, and then some we are. I think it just helps us relate to a variety of people and situations.

Oh, and I love your avatar, too! I LOVE and collect Betty Boop memorabilia (have for years!)--she is just awesome! Good luck to you, girl!

There is no 'wrong path'... wherever you are... you were meant to be there for a purpose... that purpose is to strengthen your soul's journey and enlightenment... and you have choices inside it... every experience that you have... is an experience you need... and knowledge gathered... bad... good... indifferent... all is necessary on the soul's journey in this life... see the positives this journey brings... learn from the negatives as well... learn to avoid them next time... and may God always walk be beside you as you turn each corner... which will bring you back again to the straight path... and the journey's end you were meant to find:-)
