I think it makes it easier for some people to concentrate when they are in a 'house of God'. There are less worldly distractions.

To have a spiritual or mystical experience I could not have in my own home. I also go to be with others of my faith, and experience the strength of a community of worshippers I could not have on my own. Communal worship in my religion, Theodish Belief is one of the mainstays. In a time when communities of people are weakening we need communal places of worship. The sociologist Emile Durkheim found that a loss of communal identity lead to suicide and a decay in morals, so temples, churches, and mosques actually help prevent moral decay by building the community.

The Church is more than 4 stained glass walls.
There's a story in Luke where the Pharisees are opposed to Jesus eating and gathering with "immoral" men and women. Christ responds with the parable of the Lost Sheep. He said, "..What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?"
... It addresses the importance of every ONE. Just how important EACH and everyone of of us, are to him.
Like Matthew said, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
In modern day 12 step programs, all insist on the importance of recovering with others. Reinforcing the fact that we can't heal alone. None of us, regardless of religion, can make it on our own.
Above and beyond the power of group prayer, the Church is the primary source of local and international charity.
Without "the Church" there would be no Children's Hunger Relief Fund.
Without "the Church" there would be no Salvation Army.
Without "the Church" there would be no N.A.A.C.P.
Without "the Church" there would be no Red Cross.
Today, the charity aims to be non-denominational, however the original motto of the International Committee of the Red Cross was Inter Arma Caritas ("In War, Charity") and was formed by a Christian as a Christian movement.
Other Religious Charities include: Angel Flight Samaritans, Children's Hunger Fund, Children's Survival fund, Christian World Relief, Habitat for Humanity, St. Jude, Islamic-American Zakat Foundation, Jewish Social Service Agency, the New Israel Fund, St Vincent de Paul, and World Vision..
Yup, the Church is far more than a building..
..and interestingly enough, if you are down, and it seems like life is at its darkest; EVERY church will welcome ANY man, regardless of his faith.
..Or lack thereof.

because I love the ambience- its full of peace, God's ideals and pictures can be seen everywhere and his name and katha and praise is all that u hear. because we are reckless and sinful outside we tend to be more controlled and have better concentration on spirituality at religious places. for eg. we dont usually gossip at places of worship and naturally remember all the good things that we ever knew(which we seldom remember otherwise) so we remember- no no, i mustnt gossip here, this place is so pure, it would be very sinful to do so. besides places where more pious activities are performed have a positive energy inside and around them thats why we say that its good to visit a pilgrimage or a tapobhumi. such places are a must for ignorant n sinful people like us.

The separation is rather illusory and is continually being eroded. It became initially positioned into the form so as that the religious sects does no longer use the government to persecute one yet another like they have been doing in Europe. They have been killing one yet another over faith interior the american Colonies in the past the revolution too. sixteen years in the past the revolution Massachusetts hanged 3 Quakers basically for being Quaker. That became an genuine execution. there have been many extra religious executions and a very good kind of religious exiles. The State of Rhode Island became based by using and for religious exiles from the different Colonies. Wont this is super whilst faith regulations the States returned. The Pilgrims are notworthy for instituting a reign of religious terror presently as quickly as they landed which secure many executions for heresy. religious freedom my butt. human beings could study early American faith in its finished bloody glory. those Christian techniques secure passing a regulation calling for disobedient toddlers to be hanged in Jamestown It says "In God We believe," on the money because of the fact it became positioned there in 1957. examine the historic previous of that with the treasury branch. you are able to look into the historic previous of the pledge of allegiance too.
