Okay , Let me first say its NOT "April Fools Day" but it was very similar in the story line. Here is some info:
It is set in a house near the ocean or a lake of some kind. There are several young people staying at the house. They start disappearing one by one. It turns out that its a crazy girl who lives in the house but stays hidden within the walls of the house. She looks at them through the air vents. There was a very popular 80's song in the movie, which I think was "Video Killed the Radio Star", but it could have been something close to that?? Any ideas?

...I concur with 'rickdarkone', on the titles he list, based upon the basic premise you describe; however, you might also try 1980's "The Silent Scream", starring Rebecca Balding, Cameron Mitchell, Avery Schrieber, Yvonne DeCarlo and Barbara Steele.
I'm also inclined to suggest the extremely raw, viceral and bloody 1985's "The Mutilator"; however, in that one, the killer is a drunken, psychotic middle-aged man, who is hiding in the walls.

Humongous,The unseen,Hell night or funeral home come to mind. Those are all about that scenario
