Well, there's two that I can think of. First of all, Nick is honest to a fault! He even says "Every one suspects himself of at least one of the cardinal virtues, and this is mine: I am one of the few honest people that I have ever known". (I think that's on page 60 or so. I already put away my book, sorry! :-) )
Also, Nick is a realist, as opposed to most others in the novel. Especially Gatsby. They have an interchange where Gatsby says that you can most definitly repeat the past, but Nick, as a realist, tries to convince him that there is physically no way to go back in time and repeat the past. Gatsby is a little dreamer!
So the two qualities I can think of are honesty and realism. Hope that helped!
