Throw a Pity Party -- make it a pot luck costume party. Everyone can cover up their looks with a mask and act like someone they've always wanted to be.

Come on. Have some fun. There are always things you can do.

Rent Steve Martin's film Cyrano.

Awww, thats probably the exact low-self esteem that got you there in the first place!
Everybody has a personality but I think your trying to say about the lack of excitement and fun in your life. Thats hard to do without money and I take it you don't have a job.
If your young and don't have many qualifications go to college and if your just having trouble finding a job, look harder! Think outside the square. Look for jobs you thought you'd never enjoy or be good at and give them a try, your be surprised!
Once you have a job and the money starts comming in, your be happier. This will effect your personality. People want to be friends with happy and smiley people. Sad people are a negative ora and make the people around them feel the same.
So work on the money, as your priority. Then when the money is flowing, you'll be able to do things that you've always wanted and get excitement back in your life. Maybe take a holiday or set yourself a goal, eg; running the marathon. Something that you can be proud of! This too will attract friends, you'll have something to talk about.
For now the looks aren't your biggest problem, with money you can go for a new look or style. However ONLY with money, this is why its important that you get a well paid job or atleast a job that will allow you this flexability. If your REALLY worried about the way you look then set up another question on YA and tell us whats wrong with the way you look. Go into detail.
I'll guarantee you, my honest reply!

Thank You
Good Luck
Cheer Up...Xx

Bob Dylan explained this 50 years ago. It's an awakening to reality - and in the USA you're sooooo lucky - because you can do whatever you'd like to do. You are free. If you don't understand the advantages of being free, well, you have a computer - you should do some digging for information on other ways of life. You think you have no money? My wife is from old Chinese ways of life - her family was so poor they lived in a 'house' that had a real dirt floor. (Ya know - like a floor that cannot be swept - the floor was dirt) The village her parents were from never heard of a flush type toilet. When her mother visited us in the USA - she was completely awestruck by the garbage disposal. She was totally amazed about plastic Saran Wrap. Tin foil was beyond belief. Her father recently passed away, never spoke an a telephone in his life. He couldn't understand it.
Do you understand personality and looks are internal? You won't see them in a mirror.
You have what I call an " I " disease. I don't have money, I think I'm ugly, I have no personality, etc.
If you are not happy with life right now, you never will be. Because it is always "right now". In five years - it will be 'right now'. When you think about 10 years ago, you think about it 'right now'. Happiness is not looking for happiness. If you try and catch a butterfly, the harder you try, the more he will just flutter about. But when you stop chasing him, he will fly over and land on your shoulder.

Like a rolling stone-

Once upon a time you dressed so fine
You threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you?
People'd call, say, "Beware doll, you're bound to fall"
You thought they were all kiddin' you
You used to laugh about
Everybody that was hangin' out
Now you don't talk so loud
Now you don't seem so proud
About having to be scrounging for your next meal.

How does it feel
How does it feel
To be without a home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?

You've gone to the finest school all right, Miss Lonely
But you know you only used to get juiced in it
And nobody has ever taught you how to live on the street
And now you find out you're gonna have to get used to it
You said you'd never compromise
With the mystery tramp, but now you realize
He's not selling any alibis
As you stare into the vacuum of his eyes
And ask him do you want to make a deal?

How does it feel
How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?

You never turned around to see the frowns on the jugglers and the clowns
When they all come down and did tricks for you
You never understood that it ain't no good
You shouldn't let other people get your kicks for you
You used to ride on the chrome horse with your diplomat
Who carried on his shoulder a Siamese cat
Ain't it hard when you discover that
He really wasn't where it's at
After he took from you everything he could steal.

How does it feel
How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?

Princess on the steeple and all the pretty people
They're drinkin', thinkin' that they got it made
Exchanging all kinds of precious gifts and things
But you'd better lift your diamond ring, you'd better pawn it babe
You used to be so amused
At Napoleon in rags and the language that he used
Go to him now, he calls you, you can't refuse
When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose
You're invisible now, you got no secrets to conceal.

How does it feel
How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?

Work on the personality aspect. Take communications courses like public speaking, Carnegie etc. My job required me to hold seminars and I went and took acting classes. The helped me overcome my fear of getting up in front of a bunch of people. I'm not kidding...it really works.

Once you develop a little confidence, you and your friends will be amazed at the change in your personality.

That transformation will probably let you go after a good paying job which could solve your money problem.

As far as looks are concerned.....take a look at all the TV and movie actors. I'll bet you look better than most of them but they're making money on the fact that they look average or below average. Your inner beauty and sensitivity is what makes you beautiful not full lips, high cheek bones and a size 2 figure.

It sounds like you're going through a bit of an identity crisis. Don't give up......go after your dream and don't let anyone try to stop you. You can do it.

.....and please don't go trying anything that can harm you.....somewhere down the road you will touch someone else's life if only for a brief moment and make a lifetime difference to their future.

You shouldn't be so judgmental of yourself. Improve yourself, but, let me ask -- what skills do you have?

Take an inventory of yourself of where you are, where you've been, and where you want to go --

Improve yourself to reach where you want to go --

Smile alot -- there are more people who love to see people smile -- your eyes are the doorway to your soul --

You don't have to have money to improve yourself or make someone else smile -- it's contagious --

First, you have to like yourself. If you don't -- work on that! Critique yourself, what is wrong with you -- Start to church and meet people -- God put you here for a purpose. You have an advantage over some -- you woke up this morning!
They didn't! Do you have someone to talk with -- if not, find a minister -- he's always willing to talk with you, and will guide you as to what you should do. It's FREE!

No money -- go to the Unemployment office and find a job -- they have a list of JOBS -- FREE SERVICE!-- If you don't have appropriate clothes, go to Goodwill and ask them to give you clothes, otherwise, go on a job interview. Once you get that position, you build confidence -- you got the job, right?

No looks? -- you look like something, right -- spiff up the hair, wash your face, wash your clothes, get dressed -- you look great! Everything can be enhanced, just minor details.

Go to the Library and learn to type -- you can use the computers for FREE! Read design and fashion books.

Good luck!

today is the 1st day of the rest of your life---change! It takes 30 days to change a habit. Go to the library and get some self-help books. Take a public speaking class, get a free make-over at a cosmetic counter, volunteer at an animal shelter because animals love unconditionally and that will make you feel good from the inside out. And, who knows who you will meet. It's all about net-working. You'll make new friends who may know someone who is hiring. If you are serious, you will change and if not, you must be happy the way you are. Either way, good luck to you.

Change them each one at a time. Personality firs that allows for money, and looks can be boughten after money although it's best to accept yourself the way that you are. Confidence is a bigger factor in looks than actual appearance. You've met a person before that you didn't like how they looked but then once you got to know them more found them quite attractive. It's exactly that way. As you do this, things will become more and more in favor of you while inertia continues to shift with your intention.

You have been given a rather unique opportunity to do and learn and experience something of greatest value. Everything you don't "have" is only minimally worth "having"--all very much ego oriented, in the way you're approaching it/them.

Try to discover who and what you truly are, far beyond the culturally approved "ego" trips. Once you capture a glimpse of what that is, your concerns as noted here, will prove laughable. And, you will be among the .0000001% of the species that realizes its degree of laughability.

Start meditating properly and regularly; and investing time in other practices that will cleanse, heal , and uplift your "energy system". Once you do this for a while, your perceptions will shift, and you'll understand what i mean--and you'll laugh, a lot, especially at how you thought what was so important is in fact a joke.

See http://dowload.meditation.org.au/ http://www.worldofsouls.com and http://drachenbushi.stumbleupon.com regarding various sites to help you with methods and practices, and http://www.montalk.net to see how the brainwashing/programming helps you dwell on trivia instead of discovering what's truly important in a human life.

Good Luck :))

First of all stop whining. Find a mirror. Look at yourself, this is the only person you can trust, this is the only face that cares about you. Turn around and flip off the rest of the world. Who cares what those losers think anyway. Look back at the mirror now. This is your savior. This is the face of truth. Love this face and it will love you back. Together you and that person in the mirror can change your world, all it takes is massive amounts of effort. Go get some!

"IF" you are serious, I think you should get busy with your mind.

There HAS to be something that piques your interest! It could be photography, drawing, art in general, gardening, exercise, running, writing, philosophy, metaphysics, etc., etc. There are sooo many areas to study...really get in to!

If you direct your attention to one interest area, you will eventually meet people with a same or similar interest. All kinds of things can come from this...friendship, great conversations, projects...

You don't need money, looks or personality to read, to educate yourself. Laziness is the main reason most people stay in the same spot, really! When you develop a passion, through hard work, you will forget about all of this seeming lack!!

Be interested and interesting and you will attract an amazing life to you...like a magnate!
